The best songs heard at Milan Fashion Week F/W 2017/2018 according to Idressitalian

The best songs heard at Milan Fashion Week F/W 2017/2018 – We’ve been assisting at the gradual evolution of fashion: from “merely” haute couture made up of fancy, impossible to wear every day clothes to actual performance, where the pieces of clothing are part of a greater show; fashion went from being the subject of countless photographs snapped by professional photographers to a proper experience that must be lived, starting from the music played during each show. Especially music is now fundamental to highlight what’s happening on the runway, the emotions the models are supposed to elicit while walking in synch with the tunes. We wanted to bring the magic of the Milan Fashion Week to you, hence we made a list of the best songs heard during the event. Discover them clicking the below button >

10.THREE SIDES OF NAZARETH – NICOLAS JAAR (NEIL BARRETT)

This is a very electronic track, punctuated by a peculiar rhythm which, combined with the lyrics, communicates real energy. It felt like the perfect drink to accompany the show.

9.AUTUMN SUNSET – ANDERS BALDWIN (ANTONIO MARRAS)

Anders distinctive laconic style fills his music with feeling. The result is the perfect country song with a catchy melody, the ideal piece to express this XXI century we’re living in.To listen to the song click here: AUTUMN SUNSET – ANDERS BALDWIN

8.EMOTIONAL RESCUE – THE ROLLING STONES (PORTS 1961)

Well, it’s Rolling Stones, people. They may not always sound elegant nor technically impeccable, but who could resist Jagger’s voice? Every instrument, as well as Mick Jagger’s singing, sounds like a sort of independent show that only becomes one with the rest thanks to the catchy guitar riff.

7.ROSTRO – MURCOF (ANTONIO MARRAS)

Murcof’s music has often been described thus: “minimal techno meets classical music” which is what happens with his “Rostro”, a track played (pun intended) on silence and pauses. This song sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before, it can’t be easily classified as one known music genre either.

6.DE CAMINO AL CIELO – HI-FI LEMON (EMPORIO ARMANI)

This is a very interesting, feminine song. Its rich electronic style sounds very intimate, the melody communicates some kind of shyness.

5.A FOREST- THE CURE (NEIL BARRETT)

This song accompanied perfectly what was happening on the runway but there’s more to it: it sounds like a sort of musical journey one should listen to more than once in order to fully appreciate it. The refrain “again” is repeated hypnotically until a final tail played only by a bass that seems to imitate the human heart beat.

4.HE IS THE VOICE I HEAR – THE BLACK MADONNA (FERDI)

This song opens with a jazzy piano until very delicately, we get the groove. Davide Rossi’s violin and Cristoforo La Barbera’s keyboard create a refined melody. If you love dancing, this is your song.

3.PRETTY AND YOUNG – AUSTIN MAHONE (DOLCE&GABBANA)

Dolce&Gabbana dedicated their opening act to the Millennials, “kids who want to look smart albeit ignoring the rules for a classic look because they only wear hoodies, jeans and sneakers” and there’s no doubt about how much this song was the perfect choice to accompany their show. It’s a fast-playing, pop-ish and urban song – no one could resist its rhythm!

2.NAIDEN TAHTIEN ALLA – TIMO KIISKINEN (VALENTINO)

Valentino couldn’t select a more perfect song for his show. This is an elegant and warm piece, filled with harmony ad serendipity. This kind of music sounded almost designed together with Valentino’s beautiful pieces.

1.INDESTRUCTIBLE FORCE – DANIEL JAY NIELSEN (ALBERTA FERRETTI)

Daniel Jay Nielsen interprets the lyrics in such a way as to make this song irresistible, hypnotic. This is the kind of song that it’s both wonderful and somewhat creepy, because of how it manages to absorb one’s attention and thoughts.

And now there’s only one thing to do: enjoy the music!
