10.OSTERIA SOPRA IL MARE – GENOVA
It is small, uncomfortable, noisy. Let’s add a little dark. And that is the beauty of it! Ah the caruggi of Genoa, ah the scent of the sea that enters the walls that certainly were old port deposits. We are in Genoa, the one that the good De Andrè told in his creuza de ma. In fact, I imagined him there, sitting on one of those chairs, with his guitar singing it. And I, sit close with a fritturina, with pesto (over the top). And a wallet (mine) still beautifully full of palanche. In the kitchen there is a nice Calabrian contamination. The chili as a logo at the entrance does not give me any doubts. Bravi!

9. OSTERIA LA FARINATA – SAVONA
Location a little out of the way, Spartan, Ligurian but really worth it. Hot focaccette with lard, starter of the house, trofie al pesto, fried squid, 1/4 of white wine, water and two coffees at the modest price of 25euros per person. Needless to say that the main course of this place is the farinata. Excellent. I repeat, excellent. The best of all Savona.

Fiorella’s fresh pasta in Camogli is a must. Pansoti, trofie and ravioli at a ridiculously low price. It ‘s definitely an alternative lunch, no tables but just a lot of goodness to take away. We could not recommend a better authentic Ligurian experience by the sea.

Difficult to reach, but absolutely worth it. The location is in fact the suggestive scene of Sanremo’s carrugi. All their mains are incredible, especially ravioli and spaghetti in all sauces. Try the extraordinary muleteer’s cup as a dessert. You will not spend more than 25 euros per person, including wine!

The kitchen here is that typical spezzina. Moderate prices if you think of the great quality that leaves no one dissatisfied. Moscardini stewed with chickpeas and the stockfish with potatoes are two typical dishes we absolutely recommend. The price? Full dinner with wine for less than 35 euros per person. Seeing is believing.

Ah, Renza’s rabbit! Here you will eat as if you were at your grandmother’s. The furniture might be a bit ‘demodè, but the food is exceptional and you always leave satisfied with a full belly. Their lunch menu is practically a “theft by the customer”: € 11 including two mains, side dish, bread, water, wine, dessert and coffee. A la carte prices are still below average. Mains at 6 euros, you will feel at home and will return. More and more.

1. OSTAIETTA – GENOVA
