BRITISH MUSEUM MADE IN ITALY

British Museum Made in Italy? Yes, from thousands of years.

Rarely something is able to impress me, fascinate and thrill at the same time.

For the uninitiated, the British Museum is one of the largest and most important history museum in the world. The museum hosts about eight million objects that testify the history and material culture of humanity from its origins to today.

Where was the civilization born?

Many times I wondered about why Italy has excellences without equals in terms of crafts, jewelry, medicine, furnishing, design, music, cuisine, fashion, aviation, architecture, engineering, sculpture, painting and I assure you that I could go on and on.

The British Museum has helped me to understand ….

Why do Italians excel in all subjects above? Because we love beauty and we work for it from thousands of years. It is in our DNA.

Almost all the works kept come from the South Italy: Sicily, Calabria, Puglia, Campania. Because of this all the Italians should remember their true origins to  enhance and bring Italy to the level it deserves. We should remember that the true civilization was born here.

In addition, at the British Museum you can find the largest collection of works from Egypt, including the mummies and the legendary Rosetta Stone (a stone that allowed the translation of the hieroglyphs).

La mummia di Cleopatra
La stele di Rosetta

And to finish, a very interesting section dedicated to the history of money 🙂

I warmly invite you to visit this great museum whose entrance is free like all museums in London.
