The 7 best restaurants in Venice of an unforgettable taste

The 7 best restaurants in Venice according to Idressitalian

The 7 best restaurants in VeniceVenice is simply unique: bridges and squares separated by canals instead of streets; it’s a city of water and magnificence, extremely lively. Venetian cuisine follows in and it’s very varied: fresh fish is at the base of great part of Venetian recipes, but also greens, red and white meat, game and lots of spices. Venice’s restaurants are elegant and cozy, we had to make a selection keeping in mind our usual criteria: fresh ingredients, traditional recipes and a varied, inviting menu. Discover it clicking the below button >

This is a family run restaurant, perfect either if you’re a young couple or with a group of friends. The location is lovely thanks to a terrace overlooking the Ponte delle Ostreghe and the hall has a wonderful atmosphere. Their menu is varied: you can choose between traditional Venetian recipes or the most famous Italian ones – all accompanied by a selection of wines. You may want to book a table before coming to this magical place.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is extremely welcoming, you’ll feel home and you’ll love the creative cuisine of the Bengali Chef: fresh, simple ingredients combined together to enhance the taste of both fish and meat. The menu changes according to the seasons, which as we now know it’s something that guarantees quality. The restaurant’s cellar is “composed” of Italians and international wines alike, as long as the restaurant staff can offer you only the best choices to accompany your meals. What to order? A wonderful terrace overlooking the Grand Canal, where the coloured Murano glass plays with the water reflection. The restaurant is very elegant, the personnel nice and professional, the atmosphere is irresistible. The menu focuses mainly on Venetian delicacies and everything is cooked with passion and care, starting from the careful selection of high quality, fresh ingredients. Wines are meticulously selected too among the best of the region. We loved the lamb cutlet with honey, because it’s the perfect example of a chef’s passion for his job and traditional cuisine.

4.ORO RESTAURANT

This restaurant looks very informal, yet irresistibly refined. It also enjoys amazing views thanks to its terrace that looks (or feels) as if it were floating above the water. The restaurant’s Chef is extremely talented: his menu combines intense taste, quality ingredients and looks: every meal is presented in a way that’s visually exalting. How to “read” these masterpieces? The key’s the dressing that accompanies your order: these sauces will add a special, delicate taste. We particularly loved this: farfalline pasta with sea urchin and razor shell cream plus extra sea urchins.

Elegante ristorante nel cuore di Venezia che vanta 1 Stella Michelin grazie al continuo lavoro dello chef Luca Veritti.

One Michelin star for this elegant restaurant and its Chef Luca Veritti, whose cuisine he calls TraContemporanea and combines an elaborated preparation with a refined presentation once the food’s on the plate. Every Italian recipe is offered together with its revisited version, which is pretty innovative and creative. This contrast-non-contrast between new and traditional is reflected also in the restaurant’s look. You must absolutely try gnocchi with purple potatoes, red lobsters, asparagus and bottarga. Eating here is a fantastic experience you’ll never forget.

His technique is a combination of talent, elegance and sobriety, his aim is reaching the ultimate eating experience. Your meal might look simple, but know it’s not. It will certainly taste delightful and light. You cannot forget to try their entrèe with asparagus and fried dumplings with crab filling, accompanied by half-puffed corn that tastes like polenta without being as heavy. A dressing made of turmeric and mayo will add a perfect, spicy touch

Two Michelin stars for the Chefs Giancarlo Perbellini and Federico Belluco, whose art is based on a constant search for tasty combinations, experimentation and refined meals, their taste enhanced by each ingredient. All these delicacies will be served to you by a staff of professionals willing to make you feel at home. We recommend their raw greater amberjack or seriola with mussels au gratin dressing.
