1.FLOWING TIME
Do you ever stop to ponder about the flow of time? Have you ever noticed that there isn’t a single foreign movie about Italy where there isn’t a scene with bells ringing or people crowding squares? They all walk, work, eat – live slowly – more slowly than what’s considered “normal”. They spend quality time with their family and friends. It’s no coincidence that fast food chains weren’t invented in Italy, for here eating means enjoy what you’re eating. No Italian would even rush through the streets with a paper mug of coffee, why? Because we only have one life and we must make the most of it, enjoying it. Everything has to be done in its own time – Rome wasn’t built in a day, was it?
But make no mistake, Italians naturally apply the quick&deep paradigm: whenever it’s needed, they can think and act incredibly fast, strong of their natural ability to create that’s marked 3000 years of a peninsula. Music, art, nature, science: everything comes together creating beauty, the result being that what it is after all a small country is the seventh more powerful country of the entire planet.
