Il Greco
Undoubted protagonist is the Greco di Bianco D.O.C, purely produces from white greco grapes. Harvest is in mid September; the grapes are dried under the sun, gentle pressing, amber color. It smells like blossom, sweet, full, harmonious taste. It’s one of the most delightful whines of Italy.
Il Mantonico
Il Piroci
From the Nerello vineyard this ruby red whine is born. Intense for definition. Structured, full-bodied, excellent to combine with meat dishes and mature cheeses.
Il Siccagno
“Vitigno d’autore”, also here the Greco is the main character. It’s the white whine of Casa Baccellieri. A tribute to Calabria’s sea and it’s catch. The perfect match. Twelve degrees celsius and a golden yellow that will make you feel in Calabria with the first sip, between the hills of an epic, warm and productive town.
I’ve had the pleasure to tell about this company for two main reasons. The ancient history and the roaring passion of Mariolina.
Many are the awards won such as the Gran Medaglia d’Oro for the Greco in Lisbon, gold for the Mantonico and Silver for the Siccagno at the International Competition of Città del Vino – Selection for the mayor of L’Aquila.
We wish the best to a company that is assuming a more and more relevant role, national and international.
That role that Calabria needs.
