3. GALTELLÌ
This village is the very middle of the Cedrino Valley, not far from Nuoro. Seen from afar, Galtellì looks more like a hamlet straight out of an illustrated fairy tale book than a real town. Furthermore, it’s close to the sea, which means that from here you can easily reach Cala Luna, Orosei, Cala Goloritzè, Bidderosa or any other town of the Sardinian coast. The city center is characterized by typical building with loggias and white walls. We recommend you visit the Santissimo Crocefisso Church where a XIV century Tuscan gothic statue of the Christ rests – pilgrims would flock to the church in the past centuries since it was believed that the statue could operate miracles.
