The chef Riccardo Sculli earned himself one star from the Michelin Restaurant Guide with his elegant restaurant in Gioiosa Ionica. The expert chef knows how to make the best of already high quality, fresh local ingredients, in a display of love and respect for his native Calabria. You can choose between a delicate entreès such as a tartarre or a more tasty octopus with potatoes, rosemary and confit dates – what really makes of this choice and extremely tasty one is that the octopus is left to boil in water for over 15 hours straight, becoming super soft. When it comes to the first courses, you will be able to choose between saffron rice, black risotto with cuttlefish, raw prawns with red fruits dressing (cranberries and strawberries), a combination between the delicate taste of the fish and the acidity of red fruits: the perfect example of an expert revisitation of traditional recipes.
