1. FEELING ROMANTIC
We’re optimists, so we’ll begin our list assuming you’re going to spend the night home with your significant other. A romantic comedy or something a bit more dramatic would be the obvious choices. There are lots of movies belonging to these genres and we could cut it short and say let’s just go with Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961, Blake Edwards) or Pretty Woman (1990, Gary Marshall), but we’ll name these movies instead:
Every blessed day (2012) by Paolo Virzì
This romantic comedy follows Guido and Antonia’s life; they love each other very much, but more often than not, their personalities and differences clash instead of stimulating them in a positive way, just like it happens in real life. This is why it’s easy to warm up to the protagonists and relate to their struggles.
Roman holidays (1953) by William Wyler
