3.FEELING LIKE BINGE-WATCHING
The advent of streaming websites such as Netflix have given us the chance to get obssessed with a show, a movie or a Tv series and bing-watch it, even many times over. Especially Tv series have evolved from the 90’s when they were a minor source of entertainment – now they are so good, they legit rival movies, we’ll name a couple of masterpieces: Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, House of Cards and Narcos. This weekend wee suggest you take a look at these two amazing Italian Tv series.
The YOUNG POPE (2016) by Paolo Sorrentino
The Italian director and Academy Award winner Paolo Sorrentino is the genius behind this masterpiece. His The young Pope tells the controversial story of Pope Lenny Belardo (Jude Law at his best). There is no doubt this Tv series is very remiscent of The Great Beauty, the movie that got Sorrentino worldwide praise.
Gomorrah (2014) di Stefano Sollima
Originally a neo-noir/thriller movie based on a book of the same name that exposed criminal life and moral decay in the slums of Naples, it was so successful, they decided to make a Tv series keeping in line with the concept. This time the story focuses on the fictional camorra clan (a Mafia-like crime syndicate) of the Savastano family: they’ll do anything to uphold the family name and maintain control over their territory.
